Terms of Tuition
The terms on which 4A* Tutoring arranges tuition and related services.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to all tuition and matching services arranged by 4A* Tutoring Ltd. Submitting an enquiry or booking a lesson means you accept them.
2. Our services
We match students with vetted tutors and arrange one-to-one online lessons. Tutors are engaged as independent professionals; we act as the agency responsible for vetting, scheduling, and quality oversight.
3. Booking, payment & cancellations
Tuition is billed at the agreed hourly rate (GCSE from £25/hr, A-Level from £30/hr) and invoiced in advance. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full unless there is an emergency.
4. Free consultation
The initial 15-minute introduction call with your matched tutor is free of charge and carries no obligation to continue.
5. Responsibilities
Students should arrive prepared and on time. For students under 18, a parent or guardian must be contactable throughout each lesson and provide a suitable study environment. Everyone involved is expected to communicate respectfully.
6. Safeguarding
All tutors are identity-verified and DBS checked. Lessons follow our safeguarding policy, including the recording retention described in the Privacy Notice. Any concern should be reported to the registrar immediately.
7. Outcomes & liability
We select tutors carefully and structure lessons around exam-board specifications, but specific grade outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Our liability is limited to fees paid for the lesson(s) concerned.
8. Changes & governing law
We may update these terms; material changes are notified in advance. These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
