How 4A* Tutoring collects, uses, and protects your personal data.

2. Information we collect
When you submit an enquiry we collect the parent or guardian name, student name and year group, email address, telephone number, and the academic details you choose to share (level, subjects, exam board, grades, availability, learning needs). During tuition we may keep lesson records, invoices, and short-term safeguarding recordings as described below.
3. How we use your information
We use your data to respond to enquiries, match students with suitable tutors, schedule and deliver lessons, meet safeguarding obligations, issue invoices, and improve our service. We rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation (safeguarding) and, where relevant, your consent.
4. Sharing your information
We share only what is necessary with the matched tutor, our payment and communications providers (such as Zoom and email hosting), and professional advisers. We may disclose information where the law requires it. We never sell personal data.
5. Lesson recordings
Lessons run on secure video conferencing. Where recordings are enabled, they are retained for a maximum of 30 days for safeguarding purposes and are accessible solely by senior safeguarding leads.
6. Retention
Enquiry details are kept for up to 24 months if tuition does not proceed. Financial records are retained for six years as required by UK tax law. You may request earlier deletion at any time, subject to our legal obligations.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
